Healing and Integrating Trauma

Trauma is a disconnection from the self and a disconnection from the present moment. It is not necessarily the event that has happened to us, it is what has changed inside of us that makes our responses and reactions in the world more limited. This change gets in the way of our natural growth process. Soulful Therapy provides a space to understand these changes in order to become compassionately connected with ourselves again. When we become connected to ourselves in this meaningful manner, we can be our authentic selves in the world, responding to our emotions as they arise, and connecting to others with compassion.

Whether you are seeking therapy for the first time or are ready for something new, diving into therapy may feel difficult at first, particularly since our busy lives are not often conducive to identifying emotions or exploring the self. Soulful Therapy is a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to psychotherapy and an effective way to begin down the path of introspection. In a warm space where all of your emotions and thoughts are welcome, you begin to recognize the unconscious patterns, which show up as triggers, traumas and ways of coping and suppressing emotions, and how to become free from them. I support clients to heal and reconnect with their bodies, via Compassionate Inquiry, somatic body psychotherapy, energy psychotherapy, reiki, inner child healing, family of origin work, guided visualization, and working through understanding the impacts of needs that were not met in childhood. Benefits include, relief of symptoms of anxiety, depression, chronic pain and addiction.
