SOULFUL THERAPY
Parenting & Perinatal Support
Feel more present with your children and yourself
Understand what's happening beneath the surface
Move through this season with steadiness and self-compassion.
Understanding the Parenting Experience Somatically
Parenting impacts far more than your schedule. It reaches into your nervous system, your sense of identity, your relationships, and the patterns you carry from your own childhood. You may feel stretched beyond your capacity, reactive in ways that confuse you, repeating patterns that you never thought you would, or simply depleted in a way that is hard to explain to anyone around you.
Soulful Therapy offers a space to understand what is driving your experience, not to fix what is wrong with you, but to explore what is happening in you, with curiosity and care.
"The most important work that any parent will ever do on behalf of their children is their own healing."
-Dr. Gabor MatÉ
SOULFUL THERAPY
What is Perinatal & Parenting Therapy?
Parenting stress and perinatal struggles rarely exist in isolation. They connect to your nervous system, your history, and the relational patterns formed long before you became a parent.
Many people come to therapy focused on their children, or on a specific challenge in their parenting, and discover that the most meaningful work is understanding themselves. What is being activated in them. What they are carrying. What this season is asking of them at a deeper level.
Therapy helps you understand those layers so you can show up for your family from a more grounded place, rather than managing from depletion.
If you are experiencing:
- Overwhelm, depletion, or exhaustion that sleep doesn't resolve
- Reactivity or emotional responses that feel bigger than the moment
- Anxiety during pregnancy or in the postpartum period
- Grief after pregnancy loss, a difficult birth, or a fertility journey
- A disconnect from yourself since becoming a parent
- Guilt, shame, or the persistent feeling that you are not doing enoug
- Patterns from your own childhood showing up in how you parent
- Disconnection from your body or your emotions
- Difficulty in your relationship since having children
- The weight of being the default parent or primary caregiver
Soulful Therapy can help you feel understood, grounded, and more connected to yourself and the people you love.
SOULFUL THERAPY
How Can Parenting & Perinatal Therapy Help?
Nervous System Regulation
Learn to recognize when your system is activated and develop tools to find steadiness, in parenting moments and beyond.
Perinatal Support
Process what fertility challenges, pregnancy, birth, or the postpartum period has brought up in your body, your identity, and your relationships.
Birth Trauma & Grief
Hold space for birth experiences that felt frightening or out of your control, and for losses that may not always be recognized by others.
Intergenerational Patterns
Understand the patterns you absorbed in your own family of origin and how they show up in who you are as a parent today.
Relational Support
Explore the impact parenting has had on your relationship with your partner, and how to navigate that with more understanding and care.
Identity & Self-Connection
Reconnect with yourself, not just as a parent, but as a whole person with your own needs, desires, and inner life.
We work at a pace that respects where you are. This is not about becoming a better parent through willpower. It is about understanding yourself more deeply so that change comes from a real place.
