Understanding the EFT Couples Intensive
Weekly therapy has its place. But sometimes a relationship needs more focused, sustained attention to create real movement. The EFT Couples Therapy Intensive brings together assessment, individual exploration, and deep couples work into a condensed and intentional format, so you can go further, faster, without losing the depth that lasting change requires.
This is not a quick fix. It is an investment in understanding what has been keeping you stuck and building something more secure together.
"The greatest thing we can do is to show up for the people in our lives and let them know that we see them, that they matter."
Dr. Sue Johnson, founder of Emotionally Focused Therapy
SOULFUL THERAPY
What is Emotionally Focused Therapy?
Emotionally Focused Therapy, or EFT, is one of the most thoroughly researched approaches to couples therapy available today. Developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, it is rooted in attachment science, the understanding that human beings are wired for connection, and that when that connection feels threatened, we react in predictable and often painful ways.
EFT works by helping partners slow down, identify the deeper needs and fears underneath their conflict, and begin to reach for each other in new ways. Over time, couples develop a more secure bond, one where both partners feel seen, valued, and safe enough to be vulnerable.
This is not about learning scripts or communication techniques. It is about understanding what is happening underneath, the fear, the longing, the unspoken needs, and learning to meet each other there.
If you are experiencing:
- A recurring cycle of conflict, distance, or disconnection that you can't seem to break
- A longing to feel close again but uncertainty about how to get there
- A significant relationship challenge or life transition putting pressure on your connection
- The feeling that weekly therapy is moving too slowly for where you are
- A desire for a more focused, intentional path forward together
The EFT Couples Intensive may be the right next step for you.
Please note: this program is not appropriate where there is violence, intimidation, or active safety concerns in the relationship. Your wellbeing is always the first consideration.

How Can the EFT Couples Intensive Help?
Understanding Your Cycle
Learn to identify the pattern that has been pulling you apart, and what each of you is really trying to say when you're inside it.
Emotional Safety
Build the kind of safety that allows both partners to be honest, vulnerable, and truly heard, perhaps for the first time.
Deeper Connection
Move beyond managing conflict to actually feeling close, more seen, more supported, more like a team.
Individual Understanding
Through individual sessions in the assessment phase, Anna gets to know each partner separately, what you carry, what you long for, and what has made connection feel so hard.
A Clear Path Forward
Leave the intensive with a grounded understanding of your relationship dynamic and a sense of what comes next, whether that is continued work together or the tools to carry forward on your own.

Anna brings a calm, compassionate presence to her work with couples. As a wife and mother herself, she understands how life’s weight can quietly build distance between two people who love each other, and how much it matters to feel truly seen by the person closest to you.
